On September 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off the BJP's 2024 membership drive, 'Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024,' by renewing his membership and encouraging party workers to focus on connecting with the youth.
PM Modi mentioned that the membership drive and the organizational structure developed during this period would align with the implementation of the 33 percent reservation in legislative assemblies and Parliament. He emphasized that the BJP is the only political party following the democratic process diligently. He also noted that the party is expanding its activities and continuously striving to meet people's expectations.
On the first day of the drive, 47 lakh memberships were registered. In the first phase, from September 2 to September 25, 6 crore members were enrolled, demonstrating the party's wide reach and the people's trust in its leadership.
According to party sources, in the first phase, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh registered over 1 crore members, while Gujarat and Assam enrolled 85 lakh and 50 lakh members, respectively. Smaller states such as Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tripura have also shown steady progress in membership enrollment.
In the second phase of 'Sadasyata Abhiyan,' scheduled from October 1-15, priority will be given to Parliamentary Constituencies, Assembly Constituencies, Zilas, and Mandals that are lagging behind. The focus will be on ensuring membership enrollment in every Shakti Kendra and Booth through extensive outreach efforts.
