The trailer of 'Do Patti' showcases Kajol in a cop role as she unravels a mystery, with Kriti Sanon playing a double role.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 14: After their appearance in Rohit Shetty's 'Dilwale,' Kajol and Kriti Sanon are reuniting on-screen for Netflix's upcoming thriller 'Do Patti.'

Directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, the film, also featuring Shaheer Sheikh, is set to release on October 25 on Netflix.

On Monday, the 'Do Patti' team launched the film's trailer at an event in Mumbai.

The trailer features Kajol as a police officer and Kriti Sanon in a double role. It begins with Kajol interrogating Shaheer Sheikh’s character, Dhruv, in jail about a fatal accident. The plot then shifts to Dhruv's romantic involvement with Saumya, played by Kriti Sanon. Things take a darker turn when Kriti’s twin sister, Shailee, enters the story, attempting to seduce Dhruv. The film centers on the rivalry between the sisters, with Kajol's character solving the mystery.

Expressing her excitement about the project, Kriti Sanon shared in a press note, "Do Patti is incredibly special to me, not just because it's my first film as a producer, but also because it allowed me to explore my own duality on-screen. This film has been like my baby; Kanika and I have nurtured it from the start, especially in our capacity as producers, and it's truly fulfilling to see this journey through with Netflix. Do Patti also has a poignant message woven in, which is the reason I chose to produce this film as my first, and I can't wait for audiences to experience it."

Kajol, reflecting on her role as police officer Vidya Jyothi, added, "As an actor, I always seek roles that allow me to connect with my audience. This being my first time portraying a cop, I’m eager for fans to see me in this new avatar. Bringing this powerful story to life has been rewarding."
