Cancer Survivor Dr. Priyanka Bagdi Launches Book "Sunshine at the Bend" in Chennai
Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], August 30: Dr. Priyanka Bagdi, an obstetrician-gynaecologist and leukemia survivor from Chennai, has launched her debut book, "Sunshine at the Bend." The memoir details her personal battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, her journey through treatment, and her ultimate triumph. The book was inaugurated by Dr. T Raja, Director of Medical Oncology at Apollo Hospital, Chennai, and Dr. Sajan Hegde, Clinical Director at the Institute for Robotic & Complex Spine Surgery, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.
Diagnosed with leukemia at 28, Dr. Priyanka, who was already established in the medical field, faced her diagnosis with resilience and hope. She chose to use her experience to inspire others, viewing her struggle as an opportunity to offer a message of hope.
Dr. Priyanka remarked, "Writing this book was my way of showing that even in the darkest moments, there is hope. My story is meant to provide strength, perseverance, and reassurance to others.
