"I rely on my real-life friends...": Ananya Panday discusses how she copes with breakups.
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 5: Ananya Panday has captivated movie lovers with her performance in her latest film, *CTRL*, a thrilling cyber thriller directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.
In the movie, Ananya portrays Nella Awasthi, an influencer who, after experiencing a painful breakup, turns to Artificial Intelligence (AI) to erase her ex-boyfriend Joe from her life. As the plot takes an exciting turn with the AI spiraling out of control, Ananya discussed how she manages breakups in real life.
In an interview, Ananya revealed that, unlike her character Nella, she relies on her "real friends" during difficult times, particularly breakups.Â
"I lean on my real-life friends only. As Nella demonstrated in the film, relying on AI and digital solutions is not the best option. I prefer to maintain physical friendships," she shared.
The *CTRL* actress also addressed how she copes with social media trolling, mentioning that she has become more "thick-skinned" over time.
"It affects me like it would affect anyone else, but it varies from day to day. Sometimes I handle things better, while on other days, it impacts me more. Overall, I've become much thicker-skinned than I used to be, and I don’t let unnecessary, irrelevant voices reach me," she stated.
This movie marks her second OTT release this year, following her debut in the series *Call Me Bae* in September. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film also features Vihaan Samat, known for his role in *Mismatched*.
*CTRL* was released on October 4 on Netflix and is now available for streaming.
