Haryana: Rahul accuses the BJP of increasing unemployment, crime, and drug abuse, and pledges to create 2 lakh permanent jobs.
New Delhi [India], October 4: Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Friday criticized the BJP government for the increasing unemployment, crime, and drug problems in Haryana.
On social media platform X, the Congress leader shared his experiences of meeting and engaging with people during the Vijay Sankalp Yatra.
"Why are drugs and crime escalating in Haryana? The unemployment crisis fueled by the BJP has jeopardized Haryana's future, the youth's prospects, and the state's security. During the Vijay Sankalp Yatra, some sisters from Haryana offered us shelter, lovingly prepared homemade rotis, and discussed the state's complex issues," he stated.
In his post, Gandhi claimed that the BJP was undermining every system in the state. He wrote:
"Today, Haryana has the highest unemployment rate in India. This is because, over the past decade, the BJP has dismantled the backbone of every system that provides jobs for the state's youth.
- Poor GST policies and demonetization have devastated small businesses.
- The Agniveer scheme has demoralized the youth preparing for the army.
- Black laws have discouraged those in the agricultural sector.
- Support for athletes has been withdrawn, crushing their dreams.
- Government recruitment has been halted by the 'Parivar Pehchan Patra,' destroying families.
As a result:
Youth talent is being wasted in the clutches of drugs.
Disillusioned youth are turning to crime.
Families are being torn apart as they navigate dangerous paths," he posted.
He further emphasized that Congress is committed to providing job opportunities for the state's youth.
"When the Congress government comes to power in the state, we will create 2 lakh permanent jobs and strive to make Haryana drug-free. I have assured the sisters of Haryana that I will put an end to this destruction, protect their children, restore employment, and ensure every family experiences happiness," he stated.
Haryana will hold elections on Saturday, with results set to be announced on October 8.
