Kharge on PM Modi criticising opposition parties opposing Agnipath scheme : "Doing petty politics; spreading lies"

New Delhi [India], July 26 Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, saying that he is the one spreading lies and doing petty politics even on the occasion of the Kargil Vijay Diwas.

This came after PM Modi's location at the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas in Ladakh's Kargil, where he scrutinized the resistance groups for contradicting the 'Agnipath' conspire and for "politicizing a delicate issue connected with public safety."

Taking to X, Kharge said, "It is extremely sad and regrettable that Top state leader Narendra Modi-ji is doing insignificant legislative issues even on events like honoring saints on Kargil Vijay Diwas. No State leader has at any point done this. Modi ji is saying that his administration carried out the Agnipath conspire at the command of the Military; this is an explicit falsehood and a reprehensible affront to our fearless Military."

Kharge additionally blamed the Modi government for doing something contrary to what previous Armed force Boss (Retd.) General MM Naravane had said about the enrollment of fighters and effectively carrying out the plan in every one of the three military.

"Previous Armed force Boss (Retd.) General MM Naravane has said on record that 75% of volunteers were to be taken for permanency in the 'Agnipath Plan' and 25% of individuals were to be given up following 4 years. Kharge further expressed that Overall MM Naravane's book, it was referenced that the 'Agnipath Plan' was stunning for the Military, Naval force, and Flying corps.

He further referenced that many resigned officials had unequivocally reprimanded the Agnipath Plan and said that it was jeopardizing public safety.

"Many resigned officials have emphatically censured Agnipath and said that it is jeopardizing Public safety... Agniveers get no annuity, no tip, no family benefits, no changed family annuity, and no instruction recompense for their children...15 Agniveers have been martyred up to this point. Essentially regard their suffering," Kharge added.

Prior, talking during Kargil Vijay Diwas Shradhanjali Samaroh in Drass, Ladakh, Top state leader Modi had said that the resistance was deceiving the adolescent on the Agnipath issue

"The Military means the confidence of 140 crore comrades. The military means - the assurance of harmony for 140 crore compatriots and the military means - the assurance of safety of the nation's lines. Tragically, such a delicate issue connected with public safety has been made a subject of governmental issues by certain individuals.
