Three leaders from the JJP party have joined the BJP in anticipation of the Haryana elections
New Delhi [India], September 2: Former Jannayak Janta Party leaders Sunil Sangwan, Sanjay Kablana, and Devender Singh Babli joined the BJP on Monday.
Arun Singh, National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), welcomed the new members, highlighting the party's growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He noted that the BJP now governs 20 states and has achieved its third term at the center for the first time in sixty years.
Singh stated that the BJP is gaining momentum in Haryana for the upcoming elections, with public enthusiasm for a third term in the state due to the party's notable achievements. He praised Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini and his administration for their efforts, claiming the government has accomplished over 100 initiatives, particularly benefiting the poor and youth. Singh attributed the recent shift of political leaders to the BJP’s successful record and anticipated victory in the state.
Biplap Deb, former Chief Minister of Tripura and Member of Rajya Sabha, congratulated the new BJP members and noted that three other former MLAs, including the mayor of Ambala, had joined the party recently. He suggested that the influx of new members reflects strong support for the BJP.
Haryana BJP state president and assembly member Mohan Lal Badoli was also present to welcome the new members.
The Haryana elections are scheduled for October 5, with vote counting set for October 8.
